WHAT TO WEAR TO A FOAM PARTY?

Foam does not ruin your clothing.  There might be a few exceptions, however, you should be good to go! You should consider wearing clothes that you are not overly concerned about getting wet or dirty. All you need to do after the party is put on a load of washing and your clothes will be as good as new!  You can also wear a bathing suit.  It will definitely make life a lot easier as all that needs to be done is rinse off the foam and dry yourself with a towel and finally put the change of clothes you brought on with you.

Also, you may want to ensure that you wear clothes that you do not mind getting stained if you go with the colorful foam option. Our starch powder stains temporarily and once washed, it goes away.  However, if you go with the gender reveal colored foam, your clothes will be stained and we recommend wearing white t-shirts so that you can keep the stained t-shirt and shorts as a souvenir; Wearing white is probably the best idea because of this.

Another top tip is to pack a spare pair of clothes so that you can change into them once the actual foam bit of the party is over. It may be scorching hot during the day, but it can also become a little chilly once the sun goes down.

So, there are a few things that you should avoid wearing to a foam party. The reason for this is that these types of materials will more than likely get damaged or misshapen when wet. Examples of these types of clothing materials are:

• • • Suede
    • Leather (may leave ‘tide’ marks when dry)
    • Wool (can become misshapen)

This is relative to how much foam you submerge yourself in. You definitely will not get as wet as you would at a pool party, though. Foam can make you wet, but not sopping wet.

It is possible that the foam will be slippery if the party is conducted on grass, glazed tile, or a smooth surface. We know that foam is as slippery as water. Once again, we highly recommend that our guests don’t run during foam parties as they can’t see where they land their feet and it can be slippery in foam-covered areas. Do not forget your shoes as well.

• • • Electronics (at your own risk):

      The first thing that we advise is that you DO NOT bring along any cameras or watches that are not waterproof; this may go for smartwatches, too, as the foam may damage them. If you want to bring mobile devices along, make sure that they are safely put away so they cannot get damaged by the foam. Photographs are advised to be taken from the sideline.

    • Towels:

      Bringing a towel along with you is a definite must. As mentioned earlier, you will probably get wet from the foam, and you want to be able to dry yourself off after all of the fun has been had. Again, make sure that your towel is put somewhere where it will not get wet during the foam party.

    • Sunscreen:

      This item is a really important one to remember. You may not feel the heat while getting wet from the foam; however, it is really important to bring this along with you so that you do not get burnt and feel uncomfortable at the end of the day. Our summers are getting warmer, and bringing along sunscreen with a high SPF is key.

    • Goggles:

      If you are someone who is worried about getting foam in your eyes, then bring along a pair of goggles. This is especially important for younger children who may not like things getting in their eyes. It is better to be extra prepared!

    • Extra Clothes:

      As we mentioned earlier on in the article, bringing an extra pair of clothes for after the actual foam party is a good idea. You may get cold staying in your wet clothes for hours afterward. This is especially important if you choose colorful foam, and it may leave marks on your clothes.  This is where you could be a little more fashionable in your attire if you wish.

    • Hairbrush:

      If you have long hair, then bringing a hairbrush to a foam party is wise. Your hair would have gotten wet and may have a few knots in it after the foam fun. Once you have finished, however, you can rinse your hair and brush it out so that you do not have any knots left over.

Once all of the fun and games are over, and everyone is dried and changed, you can then move on to your next activity.
